Julius Karl Riediger was born in the province of Schleszien, Germany, on December 18, 1861. There he was baptized and later confirmed. At about the age of twenty, he came to this country, settling first in Wisconsin, and later in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. On March 12, 1885, he was married to Anna Bielfuss. To this union five children were born. Mrs. Reidiger died in 1900. Later Mr. Reidiger remarried Louise Lehman in Germany, while on a visit there. One son was born before the second Mrs. Reidiger passed away in 1906. During the past months Mr. Reidiger had been failing in health, and was confined to the nursing home at Renville, where he passed away on Wednesday morning, having the age, according to available information, of 94 years, 5 months, and 12 days. He is survived by four sons, Edward of Clarkfield, Minnesota, Paul of Sidney, Montana, Fred of Perth, North Dakota, and Walter on the home place. IN MEMORY OF JULIUS K.
