Obituary

Julius John Loose was born January 6, 1875, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of John Loose, Sr. and Otilia (Kienart) Loose. He was baptized in St. Luke's Lutheran Church in that city. At the age of seven, he, together with his parents, brothers and sisters, moved to Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, where they homesteaded a section of land southwest of Boyd. He was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church in Omro Township by Rev. E.G. Fritz. On March 12, 1903, he married Martha Kelm, a recent immigrant from Germany, at St. John's Lutheran Church. They lived on their farm until November 22, 1956, when they moved to Renville, Minnesota. For the past year his health failed. On May 12th, he suffered a stroke and passed away on Saturday morning May 16, 1959, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota. Surviving are three children: Alma (Mrs. Fred Kluth) of Renville, Minnesota, Elmer of Hazel Run, Minnesota, and Arthur of Boyd, Minnesota, and six grandchildren. IN MEMORY OF JULIUS J.
