Julia Caroline
(Stevens) Jacobson
March 23, 1893 – December 1, 1962
Julia Caroline Jacobson (Stevens), was born on March 23, 1893 to Ole and Mary Stevens in Sandnes Township in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, Minnesota. On July 7, 1917 she was married to Alexander O. Jacobson in Minneapolis, Minnesota by Rev. Moral. They moved to Joplin, Montana and lived there until August 1919, when they returned to Hanley Falls. In the spring of 1920, they moved to a farm near Hanley Falls and lived there until their retirement. They were blessed with four sons, Ariel, Harland, Kenneth and Howard. In December, 1949 they moved to Hanley Falls. Alex passed away in December, 1962. Julia moved to Clarkfield in 1963 and continued to be an active member of Spring Creek Lutheran Church of rural Clarkfield. She lived in her own home until she entered the Clarkfield Care Center in December of 1984. She resided there until her death on January 4, 1995. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, husband Alex, sons Ariel, Harland and Howard; daughters-in-law Elaine Jacobson and Eileen (Jacobson) Stensrud, and two grandsons. She is survived by son Kenneth Jacobson and wife Kathleen of Clarkfield, daughter-in-law Norma Jacobson of Hanley Falls, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
