Julia Swenson Morley, 90, of Granite Falls, Minnesota, died Sunday, January 5, 1986, at the Granite Falls Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota. Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 1986, at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church, Hanley Falls, Minnesota, with Pastor H. Norman Schey officiating. Final Resting Place is the Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery of Arrington, Virginia, where her husband was laid to rest, following services Friday, January 10 at the Grace Episcopal Church of Massies Mill, Virginia. She was born November 25, 1895, in Hanley Falls to Oscar and Anna (Torgerson) Swenson. On October 15, 1915, she married James Henry Morley at Hanley Falls. They lived on a farm north of Hanley Falls for three years. Following that they moved to Virginia where her husband was employed as a mining engineer. Julia lived in Roseland, Virginia until May 24, 1968, when she moved back to Hanley Falls where she resided before moving to the Granite Falls Manor in 1977. Mrs. Mavis Gustafson was the organist at the service with Mrs. Mavis Ellingson as the soloist. Casket Bearers were Douglas Anderson, Gerald Enger, Everett Eye, Arlan Gustafson, Galen Redetzke and Allard Stevens. She is survived by one sister, Stella Gilmore of Granite Falls and nieces and nephews.
