Mrs. Julia Flaa Iverson passed away Thursday evening, March 1, 1956, at her home at the age of 75 years, ten months and 23 days, after a lingering illness. She was born in Baxter Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, on April 8, 1880. Her parents were John O. and Marit (Melhus) Flaa. On October 21, 1894, she was confirmed in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Baxter. Julia Flaa and Halvor P. Iverson were married November 27, 1901, by Rev. P.L. Hoff. Since that time, she has been a member of Bergen Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid until her health failed. Mrs. Iverson was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, four brothers and one granddaughter. Remaining to mourn her passing are her husband, Halvor, and four children: Myrtle (Mrs. Jay Mitlyng), Mildred (Mrs. Palmer Strand), Clarice (Mrs. Kenneth Storlie) and Harold, at home. Also four grandchildren survive. A niece, Minnie, (Mrs. Chalmer Ford) made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Iverson. Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Christine Clausen of Minneapolis; five brothers, Gerhard of Minneapolis, Alfred of Spokane, Washington, John of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Jens of Boyd, Minnesota, and Martin of Dawson, Minnesota; besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
