Julia Heimark, 91, died Friday, February 27, 1987, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday March 2, 1987, from the Bergen Lutheran Church of Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, Pastor William Klavetter Officiating. Dorothy McCoy was organist and Thoralf Benson was soloist. Casket Bearers were Tilfred Bue, Gary Heimark, Paul Heimark, Harry Smith, Lucius Tongen and Wayne Virkus. Final Resting Place is the Bergen Lutheran Cemetery, Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was born October 1, 1895, in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to Ole and Johanna (Stangeland) Kolbensvik. She taught school after graduating from St. Olaf College until she married Henry J. Heimark in 1938. After Henry passed away in 1945 she continued to reside on the Heimark homestead with Ole and Edna Heimark in Lisbon Township. In 1976 she moved to an apartment in Montevideo, Minnesota, where she lived alone for six years when she was joined by her sister Delia for three more years. She is survivied by sister Delia Cabell.
