Judith Gjertine Berg Rysdahl was born January 8, 1906, and baptized at Thor, Iowa. In 1911, she moved with her parents to Clarkfield, Minnesota, on a freight train. On March 8, 1921, she was Konfirmation (confirmed) at the Clarkfield Norweigan Evangelical Lutheran Church by Pastor O.T. Storaasli. Judith married Lewis Rysdahl on March 7, 1928. She passed away June 3, 2000, at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 94. She is survived by sons: Alton (and Dolores), Donald (and Elna), George (and Marjorie); daughters: Loretta (and Richard) Grudt, Janice (and Lowell) Sheldahl, Dorothy (Vaaghn) Marian; 25 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; one brother, Harold Berg; sisters-in-law: Inez, Edith and Arda Berg; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; twin infant sons: Sherwood and Stanley; and two granddaughters; her parents: Carl and Caroline Berg; brothers: Alfred, Arne, Clarence, Arthur and Wilhelm; and sisters: Mamie, Christine, Joella and Clara. Judith was a very giving person and she loved to garden. She was a member of Clarkfield Garden Club, Clarkfield Lutheran Church and WELCA. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed her many relatives and friends. Blessed be her memory.
