Josie Le Gros was born March 25, 1891, in Clarkfield, Minnesota, the daughter of Arnie and Johanna Iverson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church, where she was a member all of her life. She graduated from Clarkfield High School and Mankato State Normal School. In 1914 she was married to Leo V. Le Gros, and except for a short time lived all her married life in Clarkfield. To this union four sons were born: George, Leo, Jim and Mervyn. She is survived by three sons: Leo, Jim and Mervyn; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one sister Anna. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo and one son George. Josie passed away at Fairview Hospital due to a massive heart attack on March 12, 1979. She has been a resident of the Minnesota Masonic Home in Minneapolis the past 11 years. Josie was a charter member of the Eastern Star and was presented her 50 year pin some time ago. She was Worthy Matron and held the secretary's position for 25 years. Blessed be her memory!
