Joseph John Kronabetter was born on August 4, 1916 at St. Leo, Minnesota, to parents Joseph and Barbara (Achartz) Kronabetter. He grew up in the St. Leo area and on September 30, 1940 he married Katherine Kloos of Taunton. The couple farmed three miles east of St. Leo until 1973 when they moved to Clarkfield, MN, where Joe was a janitor of the Clarkfield Public School until he retired in 1981. Joe J. Kronabetter passed away on Sunday, March 22, 1998 at Rice Memorial Hospital at Willmar, MN at the age of 81 years, seven months and 18 days. Joe leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Kathy Kronabetter of Clarkfield; daughter Brenda (husband Gene) Verschelde of Minneota, MN; son Terry (wife Betty) Kronabetter of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter Lois Williams of Clarkfield; and eight grandsons: Dale, David (wife Karen), Glenn, Chris, Jeremy, Jonathan, B. J., and Casey and one granddaughter Teah; and a host of relatives and friends. Joe was preceded in death by daughter Beverly; son Gary; parents Joseph and Barbara Kronabetter; and nine brothers and sisters.
