Obituary

Jorgina Haakenson was born October 16, 1892, in Ten Mile Lake Township of Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, to parents Martin and Karina (Pederson) Haakenson. She was baptized by Rev. Ole Lokensgaard. She was confirmed by Rev. J.B. Reinerestson on the 9th day of June, 1907. Miss Haakenson passed away May 8, 1973, at the Dawson Nursing Home. She had reached the age of 80 years. Surviving are one brother Peter and one sister Ruth Olson of Boyd, Minnesota; one sister Mrs. Laurence Johnke of Mattoon, Wisconsin; two nephews: Orville Borgendale of Clarkfield, Minnesota, and Mark Olson of Houston, Texas; three nieces: Mrs. Harold Iverson of Clarkfield, Mrs. Archie Allchin of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Mrs. Bertrand Goderstad of Hastings, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. She was a faithful and willing member of Trinity Lutheran Church all her life.
