Johnny Engebret Christensen was born of the parents Hans and Ingaborg (Quam) Christensen on January 5, 1879, in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. Knut Thorstensen. He farmed on his own farm for a number of years and retired at an early age. Johnny lived alone on his farm and led a quiet life. He was a patient at both the Montevideo and Clarkfield Hospitals for many months. He suffered patiently and passed away after a lingering illness at the Clarkfield Hospital on August 11, 1958, at the age of 79 years, seven months and six days. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: George, Christian, Alex and Herman, and two sisters, Anna (Mrs. Andrew Lee) and Caroline (Mrs. John Carlson). Surviving are two sisters, Ida (Mrs. Bert Anderson) of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and Julia (Mrs. John Ford) and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Blessed be his memory. IN MEMORY OF MR.
