Obituary

John (Johnny) Nodshilder was born June 20, 1906 in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota to Hans and Herborg (Swenson) Nodshilder. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church. John was a farmer, hunter and trapper. He served in World War II, in the European theater. He was released and recalled. Many can remember Johnny playing his clarinet in a band in the surrounding area. He also played in the Clarkfield Band, Hazel Run and Boyd Bands. His love of music will never be forgotten by many. John died Tuesday, March 8, 1994, in Lisbon Township. John was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Johan, Peder, Sampson, Helmer, Engval and Selmer, sisters; Susie Ostensoe, Thea Berg, Hannah Nodshilder and Odella Anderson, and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by nieces and nephews.
