Funeral services were held Thursday, December 13, 1973, for John M. Anderson who passed away December 10 at the Clarkfield Hospital at the age of 83 years. Rev. C.M. Bagaason officiated at rites held at Augustana Lutheran Church and interment at Fridhem Cemetery in Tyro Township. John M. Anderson was born June 16, 1890, in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents Bernt and Olina (Eidahl) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church. On November 24, 1915, he was united in marriage to Nora Rudell. This union was blessed with two sons, Jewell of Porter, Minnesota, and Merril of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Mr. Anderson was engaged in farming until 1953 when they retired and moved to their home in Clarkfield where he was handyman for many years. Left to mourn his passing are his two sons, two daughters-in-law, five granddaughters, one grandson, one great grandson, two sisters and four brothers: Mrs. Hilda Ohman and Martin Anderson of Clarkfield, Mrs. Olga Martinson, Tillman and Henry Anderson of Boyd, Minnesota, and Elmer Anderson of San Francisco, California. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora, his parents, four brothers and three sisters. IN MEMORY OF JOHN M.
