John Richard Loose, the son of Henry and Anna (Block) Loose, was born July 29, 1904, at the farm where he grew up and lived during his entire life. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church of Tyro Township by Rev. E.G. Fritz on July 29, 1904, the day of his birth. He was confirmed March 28, 1920, by Pastor Bernhard Lettmaun. On March 31, 1948, he was united in marriage to Minnie Priebe in Zion Lutheran Church by Rev. L. Rosin. She preceded him in death on March 5, 1961. He leaves three sisters and three brothers: Leonard Loose of Boyd, Ida (Mrs. Herman Roske) of Clarkfield, Clara (Mrs. Eddie Galow) of Boyd, Ruben Loose of Eugene, Oregon, Louie Loose of Mora, Minnesota, and Rose (Mrs. Leonard Eggen) of Clarkfield; 25 nieces and nephews. Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his mother in 1948, and his father in 1954, and two nieces and one nephew.
