John Kroese died Wednesday, January 25, 1984, at Weiner Memorial Nursing Home, Marshall, Minnesota. He was born January 15, 1891, to Peter and Elizabeth (Vanzen) Kroese. He farmed near Cottonwood most of his adult life and worked for Raleigh Products for about 10 years after retiring from farming. He was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Cottonwood. He is survived by his wife, Emma; one son, Peter of Marshall; a sister, Nellie Kreykes who lives in Sheldon, Iowa; one grandchild; eight great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
