John T. Jorgenson was born May 26, 1893, to Thor and Kjersti (Foss) Jorgenson in Sandnes Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, near Hanley Falls. He was married to Emma Fagerlie of Sacred Heart, Minnesota, on May 2, 1915. They farmed near Granite Falls, Minnesota, until 1917 when they moved to Rock Lake, North Dakota, where they farmed for 24 years. In 1941 they moved back to Minnesota and bought a farm in Hawk Creek Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota, near Granite Falls, where they resided until August of 1977. They then moved to the Ren-Villa Nursing Home at Renville, Minnesota. Mr. Jorgenson passed away on December 10, 1978, at the Granite Falls Hospital, at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his wife, Emma; two sisters: Thora (Mrs. John Faaberg) of Dawson, Minnesota, Clara (Mrs. Lloyd Eklund) of Boyd, Minnesota; and Melvin Jorgenson of Hazel Run, Minnesota. Preceding John in death were his father and mother; one sister, Anna (Mrs. Edward Appelseth), and one brother, Anton Jorgenson. IN MEMORY OF JOHN T.
