Henry Mau
May 30, 1907 – August 30, 1938
John Henry Mau was born May 30, 1907 at Milroy, Minnesota to parents Albert and Anna (Krueger) Mau. He was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He grew up in Milroy, Minnesota and in 1934 moved to Hazel Run. Jack and Pearl Johnson were married on August 30, 1938 at the Hanley Falls Parsonage. Two children were born to them: John and Joan. They moved to Hazel Run in 1956 and to their present home in 1987. Jack worked as a Maintenance and Ditch Inspector for many years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, trapping, and gardening. He suffered a heart attack two years ago and since that time has been at home with the assistance of Home Health Care and his family. He was a member of the Hazel Run Lutheran Church. Jack passed away Wednesday morning. September 13, 1995 at the Granite Falls Hospital at the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 15 days. He is survived by his wife, Pearl, of Hazel Run and children: John (wife Shirley) Mau of Prior Lake and Joan (husband LeRoy) Winge of Montevideo. He is also survived by grandchildren: Todd (wife Karolyn) Winge of Farmington Hills, Michigan; Kristi Winge of Chicago, Illinois; Kelly (husband Greg) Hastings of Chanhassen, Minnesota: Tiffany (husband Russ) Pierskalla of St. Cloud, Minnesota and Great Grandson, David Hastings. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two brothers. Blessed be his memory.
