John Lee Helgeson was born June 29, 1944, the son of Palma (Fremo) Helgeson and Clifford Helgeson, in Montevideo, Minnesota, where he lived for three years. He then moved with his mother and twin brother, David, to the Boyd community where he attended school until the seventh grade. Since then he attended Clarkfield school and was a member of the junior class. He passed away May 15, 1961, at his home after a lingering illness. He was 16 years old. John is survived by his mother, his stepfather (Jennings Agre), brother David, grandfather, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
