John H. Anderson was born on January 28, 1912, to Hans M. and Johanna E. (Anderson) Anderson, near Hanley Falls, Minnesota. He was baptized in the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Monrovia, California. He married Lela Stevens on January 21, 1942, at Glendale, California. He farmed in the Hanley Falls area and was active in community affairs until he retired in the fall of 1975, at which time they moved to Hanley Falls. Mr. Anderson passed away on August 25, 1981, at the Lutheran Deaconess Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 69. Survivors are his wife, Lela of Hanley Falls; four sons: David of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Lynn of Montevideo, Minnesota, Gary of Hanley Falls and Gale of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two brothers, Ole of Hanley Falls, and Norman of Minneapolis; one sister, Evelyn Loomis of St. Paul, Minnesota and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Henry and Herman. IN MEMORY OF JOHN H.
