Obituary

John Fred Gustav Saeger was born March 15, 1891, in Corona, South Dakota, the son of Charles and Ulreka (Goerner) Saeger. Mr. Saeger was a veteran of World War I serving 1918-1919. He married Luella A. Bruss in 1933. Mr. Saeger was a resident of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and for four years operated a barber shop and grave marker business in Clarkfield, Minnesota. He passed away Sunday, March 23, 1952, at his place of business in Clarkfield at the age of 61 years. Wintery roads had prevented him from returning to his Granite Falls home Saturday evening. He was a member of the American Legion and the Civic and Commerce Association. He had previously lived at Ortonville, Alexandria and Dalton, Minnesota. Surviving are his wife, Luella and three children: Mavis (married and living in Germany), Jack and Donna. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 27, 1952, 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Granite Falls, Minnesota, Rev. Rehwaldt officiating. Four Clarkfield men served as pallbearers: Guy Barsness, Don Crist, Roy Anderson and Wenzel Andersen. Arrangements by Lynner Funeral Home Since 1891 Clarkfield Minnesota
