Fred Friberg was born on November 29, 1898, in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to Charley and Louise (Anderson) Friberg. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Fridhem Church. Fred passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 1987 at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, Montevideo, Minnesota, following a stroke. He spent his life in the Clarkfield, Minnesota area as a farmer. Fred was a resident at the Clarkfield Care Center. Surviving him are his brother, Fredolph Friberg of Glenwood, Minnesota; and sisters Mrs. Minnie Roberts of Tucson, Arizona and Mrs. Mabel Lindall of Clarkfield; and Nieces and Nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, and three brothers.
