John T. Falkum was born in Skein, Norway, on July 17, 1888, to Lars and Kerstene (Torgerson) Falkum. In 1906 he came to reside in America and lived in various locations in Minnesota and North Dakota before coming to reside in the Clarkfield area. He was united in marriage on November 27, 1918, to Frances A. Johnson by Rev. Valborg of the Swedish Lutheran Church. This union was blessed with four children: Violet (Mrs. Warren Davis) of Danvers, Massachusetts, John Leonard of Clarfield, and Floyd and Donald, both of Minneapolis. They resided the entire span of their 45 years of married life in the rural Clarkfield area and he continued in the occupation of farming to the time of his death. He passed away on January 16, 1964, at his farm home, having reached the age of 75 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Christ of St. Paul and Tom of Clarkfield; two sisters: Thora (Mrs. John Foss) and Mrs. Lydia Vogel, the latter of Everett, Michigan. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, three sons, a sister, Mrs. Hilda Johnson of Henning, Minnesota, seven grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. IN MEMORY OF JOHN T.
