Obituary

John Dahly, the son of Ole and Thone (Trydahl) Dahly, was born in Sandnes Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, July 30, 1880. He was baptized and confirmed in the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls. On March 3, 1928, he was united in marriage to Miss Tillie Kise of Hanley Falls. His wife passed away on January 2, 1929. After completion of school, he worked on the home farm with two brothers and a sister. One brother, Arnie, died in 1931 and since, John Dahly has lived on the home farm with his sister, Margaret, and brother, Thomas. Mr. Dahly's health began to fail this last year and he was taken to the Clarkfield Hospital, September 20, 1956. He passed away at 1:00 p.m., January 3, 1957, at the age of 76 years. Deceased is survived by sister, Margaret, and brother, Thomas, both of Hanley Falls; two nieces, Miss Esther and Miss Gertrude Swenson of Granite Falls, Minnesota; three nephews, Ole and Milton Swenson of Granite Falls and Swen Swenson; and one cousin, Mrs. Julia Sebey of Granite Falls.
