John Raymond Chadwell was born January 26, 1921, son of Lester and Clara (Strickler) Chadwell. He passed away May 17, 1956, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 35 years, three months and 21 days. It is presumed that Mr. Chadwell suffered a heart attack. He spent his early childhood in Missouri. After graduating from high school, he came to Minnesota. He spent twelve years in the grain business in Hazel Run, Wabasso, and Rowena, Minnesota, but ill health forced him to discontinue this type of work. For the past three months he was employed as a car salesman for the Jensen Garage at Wabasso. On October 31, 1942, he was united in marriage to Esther Nyland of Hazel Run. Three children were born to this union, namely, Danny Ray, Robert Dean and Judy Ann. Besides his family, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Clara Chadwell of Clarkfield; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Schempp of Edina, Missouri; a brother, William L. Chadwell of Hawaii; grandfather, Dan Chadwell of Edina, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends. His father, Henry Chadwell, preceded him in death. Ray was a kind and loving husband and father, a true friend to all his associates. Blessed be his memory.
