John C. Benson passed away Sunday, July 22, 1975, at Community Memorial Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the age of 80 years. John was born September 28, 1894, to Knute and Johanna (Saure) Benson at Underwood, Redwood County, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Israel Lutheran Church by Rev. T.J. Appedahl. John was a lifelong resident of Minnesota and farmed in Yellow Medicine County before retirement. Survivors include his sister, Olga, of Clarkfield; many nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Amanda Benson of Montevideo, and Mrs. Christine Benson of Dawson; a brother-in-law, Carl Rysdahl of Clarkfield; and other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by four brothers: Bennie, Ole, Robert and Arthur; one sister, Hannah Rysdahl; and his parents. IN MEMORY OF JOHN C.
