Obituary

Johannah (Hannah) Lindquist Johnson was born to Nels and Caroline Elizabeth (Skald) Lindquist in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on October 30, 1904. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and has been a member of the Clarkfield Lutheran Church for many years. On February 27, 1927, Hannah was united in marriage to Leonard J. Johnson. To this union two children, Roger and Betty, were born. They lived in and around Clarkfield all their married life. She passed away on Sunday, June 21, 1987, at the Johnson Memorial Nursing Home in Dawson, Minnesota. When Hannah was 48 years old, she suffered a severe stroke. She recovered to be well enough to care for herself and have 36 more years with her family. She is survived by her children, Roger and wife, Mary Kay Johnson of San Antonio, Texas, and Betty and husband, Murlon Knutson of Dawson, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Anna Meyers of Montevideo, Minnesota; and three brothers, Gust, Oscar and George Lindquist, all of Clarkfield. Hannah was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard, two sisters and three brothers. Blessed be her memory.
