Joel O. Aarrestad was born April 22, 1916, in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents Nels and Marie (Kloster) Aarrestad. He grew up and spent most of his life on the farm in Yellow Medicine County. After the death of his father he moved to Granite Falls, Minnesota, where he made his home with his Aunt Edna Aarrestad. Joel passed away at the Granite Falls Hospital on November 16, 1980, at the age of 64 years. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert, and his parents. He is survived by two aunts; cousin, Stanton Ensberg of Toronto, South Dakota; and many other cousins. IN MEMORY OF JOEL O.
