Joan M. (Stenson) [Anderson] Quigley February 28, 1925 ~ May 11, 2014 Joan Malinda (Stenson) Anderson Quigley was born on February 28, 1925, in Ten Mile Lake Township of Lac qui Parle County, Boyd, Minnesota, to parents John and Julia (Arneson) Stenson. She was baptized on March 29, 1925, and confirmed June 16, 1940, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd. She graduated from Boyd High School. Joan was united in marriage to Harold Anderson in November of 1955. She married Michael Quigley in January of 1998. Both husbands are deceased. She was a secretary at the Boyd School, REC in Montevideo and also worked at various jobs at JC Penney in Montevideo. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Boyd American Legion. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles at Luther Haven. Her best enjoyment was seeing her children and grandchildren. She was a true 'caregiver'. Joan passed away at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital on Sunday morning, May 11, 2014, at the age of 89 years and 2 months. She is survived by her son, Ronald Anderson of Minneapolis; son, Alan (and wife Razil) Anderson and their daughter Tamara of Montevideo; and daughter, Renae Toov of Shakopee and granddaughter, Erica Clauson and great granddaughter, Jordin Clausen. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Ecklund of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Julia; first husband, Harold; second husband, Michael; sister, Florence Hofmann and brother, Sheridan Stenson. Blessed be her memory.
