Jill Susan Doty (September 28, 1951 - April 1, 2011) Jill Susan Doty was born September 28, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents LuVerne and Joanne (Moe) Grinager. Jill grew up in Clarkfield, Minesota, where she graduated in 1969. Jill and Ronald L. Doty were married November 1, 1969. They were the parents of two children, Douglas and Rebecca. Ron and Jill moved to their home in rural Clarkfield in 1972, where they lived until August of 2007. They then moved to Golden Valley, Arizona, where they currently lived in their dream home. Jill worked at PPG for many years. She also went back to college while working full time at PPG to earn her teaching degree. She graduated from SSU in 1989. She worked as a teacher's aid from 1989-1990. In 1990, she started teaching full time. She taught various grades and ESL. After moving to Arizona, she continued to teach up until her death. Not only did she love to teach, but she truly was a part of her students' lives. Many students in return touched her life. Jill loved life, loved her family, and loved her pets. She spent many summer days in the sun with friends and family in their pool. Jill also had the opportunity to do some traveling and see many wonderful places, one being her present home, Arizona. Jill was a member of the Elks Club in Bullhead City and the Red Hat Society with her friends from the Clarkfield/Granite Falls area. Jill passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011, in Golden Valley, Arizona, as a result of an automobile accident. She is survived by her husband, Ron; son Doug (friend Suzie) along with his daughters, Brianna and Alyssa of Montevideo, Minnesota; daughter Rebecca (Grant) Velde and their children Brooke and Tyson of Granite Falls, Minnesota; stepfather Erling Dotseth of Clarkfield; siblings: Ann Koenig, Sue (Larry) Jans, Lee (Kris) Grinager, Gay (Jason) Avelsgard; father and mother-in-law, Morris and Florence Doty; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.
