Jill Marie Bruflat was born December 17, 1951, at Granite Falls, Minnesota, to Donna and Bill Bruflat. She was baptized on February 17, 1952 at Saron Lutheran Church, rural Granite Falls and confirmed on May 29, 1966, at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. She attended elementary and high school at Clarkfield, graduating in 1969. Following graduation, Jill attended Anoka Vocational Technical School. She held several positions in Minneapolis, Granite Falls and Montevideo before moving to Caruthers, California where she has lived the past 12 years. Jill and Richard Adams started and operated a Signs Now business in Fresno, California. She returned to Minnesota and spent the last six months at her parents' home in Clarkfield. Jill loved animals and especially her Cocker Spaniels: Sarge, Winnie and Garfield. She enjoyed being with her family and many, many friends, the cabin at Lake Ida, playing bingo and traveling. Jill Marie Bruflat Adams died on Saturday, June 19, 1993, at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, after a long painful struggle with diabetes. Jill received a kidney transplant in June of 1985 in San Francisco, California. She rejected the kidney in September of 1992. Numerous diabetic complications since then contributed to her death. Jill is survived by Richard Adams of Caruthers, California; her mother and father, Donna and Bill Bruflat of Clarkfield; her brothers and their wives: Rod and Barb, Tim and Deb, Joe and Lisa; nieces and nephews, Todd and Kelly, Troy, Heidi and Chad, and Amber, all of Clarkfield; grandparents, Lloyd and Alta Beito of Granite Falls; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jill was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eleanor and Bill Bruflat.
