Jenny Friberg was born January 2, 1880, the daughter of Pher and Louise Benson, in Knaren Saken, Sweden, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She came to America in 1889. On May 23, 1903, she was united in marriage to Theodore Friberg. Since that time she has made her home in Clarkfield. Mrs. Friberg's health has been failing gradually for the past few years. During her illness she was cared for at her home by her daughter, Agnes. Death came peacefully at the Clarkfield Memorial Hospital Tuesday, July 17, 1956, at 11:45 p.m. at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 15 days. She is survived by eight children, namely, Walter, Agnes, Herbert and Herman of Clarkfield, Ethel (Mrs. Ralph Lee) of Minneapolis, Alice (Mrs. James Jacobson) of Anchorage, Alaska, Theodora (Mrs. Homer Ree) of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, Ruth (Mrs. Johnnie Sturgeon) of Hazel Run, Minnesota; one sister, Mrs. Alice Olson of Minneapolis; twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild. Preceding her in death are her husband; one daughter, Josie (Mrs. Roy Nielsen); and her parents. Mrs. Friberg was a faithful member of the First English Lutheran Church and an honorary member of the Esther Ladies Aid. She was a good Christian mother and will be sadly missed by her family and many other relatives and friends. Blessed be her memory. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
