Mrs. Jennie Halverson Listul Greseth was born on a farm near Hazel Run, Minnesota, December 1, 1891, eldest daughter of Ellef and Ingeborg (Davidson) Halverson. She was baptized by Rev. Knute Thorstenson and confirmed by Rev. John Salhus in the Lutheran Church. She grew to womanhood on the farm helping her father farm and also helping her mother keep house and caring for her younger sisters and brothers. At the age of 20, she married Martin K. Listul, a young farmer of Hazel Run Township, in the year 1911. To this union seven children were born: Alvina (Mrs. Wallace) Gustafson, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Erwin, who died in 1930 at the age of 17; Inez (Mrs. Grant) Greseth, Hanley Falls, Minnesota; Howard, who died in 1941; Walter Listul, Clarkfield, Minnesota; Morris Listul, who died in 1976; and Mrs. Doris Sandlin, Flint, Michigan. Her husband, Martin, preceded her in death, April 18, 1937. She was united in marrriage to George O. Greseth on December 26, 1951, at the Hazel Run Lutheran Parsonage. Her husband, George, preceded her in death June 4, 1972. Jennie's presence will be greatly missed by those who mourn her: her children, step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sisters: Olga (Mrs. Gust) Grabowski, Brunkild, Manitoba, Canada; Ella (Mrs. Keith) Morrill, Morris, Minnesota; and brother, Russell Halvorson, Granite Falls, Minnesota.
