Jennie Anderson was born on October 21, 1910, in Lac qui Parle County, Boyd, Minnesota, to parents Mads and Sarah (Skallen) Anderson. She was one of four siblings. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Boyd, Minnesota, and attended School District #55. The Andersons, Jennie, her sister Gena, and brother Marius lived on their farm south of Boyd. They farmed the land and Jennie and Gena were known for their vegetable and flower gardens. Jennie and Gena also did much handiwork and making of quilts. The three of them moved to Clarkfield, Minnesota, in 1997. Jennie made her home at the Clarkfield Care Center in 1999. She passed away at the Care Center on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at the age of 95 years, 8 months, and 3 days. She is survived by cousins in both Norway and the United States. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother John, brother Marius in 1998, and her sister Gena in 2005. Blessed be her memory.
