Jeffrey Lynn Jorgens was born April 7, 1956, in Montevideo, MN, to Ernest "Bud" and Berdetta (Gottsch) Jorgens. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. He graduated from Dawson-Boyd High School in 1974 before attending Alexandria Technical College. In 1975, he married Lois Fenske, and the couple had three children: Jason, Renae, and Brian.

Jeff was active in many fire departments, first responders, and was an EMT. He was a mechanic, loved to play golf, ride motorcycle, hunt, and drive his Camaro. Above all, Jeff's greatest joy in life were his 10 grandchildren.

Jeff died on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the age of 69 surrounded by family at his home in Boyd under the care of hospice. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Berdetta, and brother, Joey Jorgens. Jeff is survived by his children, Jason (Sara), Renae (Travis), and Brian (Kalea); grandchildren, Colin, Rachel, Shannon, Katelyn, Elizabeth, Addison, Kyle, Ashley, Charlie, and Huck, and a host of other family and friends. Blessed be his memory.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 at 12 PM at the J.H. Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield, with visitation beginning at 11 AM. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Montevideo. In remembrance of Jeff's laid-back nature, casual attire is encouraged.
