Jeannette Haakenson Pratt was born December 4, 1910, the daughter of Olaf and Beate Haakenson. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd, Minnesota. On April 21, 1936, she was united in marriage to Ulysses W. Pratt. For a short time they lived in Baxter Township, Lac qui Parle County, and then moved to Ten Mile Lake Township of Lac qui Parle County, where they farmed until Ulysses' death in 1973. Mrs. Pratt passed away June 20, 1979, at her home in Ten Mile Lake Township, at the age of 68 years. She is survived by one son, Larry of Stewartville; two grandchildren, Kristin and Kevin; and one sister, Minnie of Dawson, Minnesota. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one granddaughter.
