Jean Lorraine Takle, daughter of Edmund and Martha (Olson) Rupp, was born on April 17, 1926, at Westbrook, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Westbrook, Minnesota. There she also attended the public school, both grade and high school. She was united in marriage to Myron Takle on April 13, 1951. To this union, two children were born. In January of 1958, the family moved to Clarkfield where they have since resided. They operate the local motel along with his work with the Western Coop Transport Association. They became members of Augustana Lutheran Church in 1959. Mrs. Takle passed away on Friday, June 12, 1964, at the age of 38 years. Jean is survived by her husband, Myron; her children: Steven Ray, 12, and Nancy Jo, 8; her mother, Mrs. Martha Rupp; one sister, Mrs. Robert Jensen of Granite Falls; one brother, James Rupp of Minneapolis; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends, all of whom mourn her passing.
