Jaurold Phillip Lundy was born on December 31, 1924, in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to John and Edith (Davidson) Lundy. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended country school in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County. Jaurold and Avis G. Holm were married on March 31, 1944. Jaurold and Avis lived in rural Hanley Falls, Minnesota, until moving to Granite Falls, Minnesota, in 1984. He was a longtime member of the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. Jaurold P. Lundy, 80, died October 14, 2005, at the Granite Falls Manor. He is survived by his wife Avis of Granite Falls and son-in-law David Anderson of Granite Falls, and two grandsons: Kent (and wife Pam) Anderson of Orange City, Iowa, and Clark (and wife Lori) Anderson of Granite Falls; and one great grandson, Landon. He is also survived by sister Lorraine Soppeland and brothers Virgil (and Nancy) Lundy, John (and Gwen) Lundy, Lowell (and Pat) Lundy, David (and Loretta) Lundy and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sharon, sister Darlene (Rasmussen) Feist, brothers Lloyd and Eugene and infant brother Raymond. Services were held Monday, October 17, 2005, 10:30 a.m. at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, Minnesota, with Pastor Allen E. Johnson officiating. Organist was Colleen Hewitt Soloist, Pam Anderson.
