Jared was born on January 18, 1988, at AFB Lakenheath, England, to parents Brent and Elizabeth (Rasmussen) Braun. Jared grew up at Edwards AFB, California; Cannon AFB Clovis, New Mexico; Falcon AFB Colorado Springs, Colorado; Anderson AFB, Guam; Beale AFB, California and Schrievers AFB, Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated on May 24, 2006, from Wasson High School, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and was enrolled at Pikes Peak Community College. Jared died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 15, 2006, in Falcon, Colorado, at the age of 18 years, 4 months, and 28 days. He is survived and sorely missed by his loving parents, Brent and Elizabeth; his older sister Meghan; and his younger brother, Matthew. He is also survived by his grandparents Alvin and Audrey (Hengel) Braun of Alexandria, Minnesota, and D. Duane and Dorothy (Ely) Rasmussen of Clarkfield, Minnesota; and his great-grandmother Iris (Scott) Rasmussen of Marshall, Minnesota; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins; and Amanda DeForest, his special love; and his many friends. Jared was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
