Janice Rae Nilson June 3, 1953 ~ November 15, 2015 Janice Rae Nilson was born June 3, 1953 at Yankton, South Dakota, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Steffenson) Nilson. She attended school and grew to adulthood in Boyd. She spent the majority of her life with Marlowe "Whitey" Palmquist in Boyd and St. Peter. They returned to Boyd over 20 years ago. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, and playing cards and games with friends and family. Janice spent a lot of time on her computer and she loved her dogs. Janice died Sunday, November 15, 2015, at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson at the age of 62. She is survived by five sisters: Kaye (Barry) Tanhoff of Montevideo, Minnesota, Gayle (Ralph) Burrow of Vancouver, Washington, Patty (Ken) Booker of New Ulm, Minnesota, Barb Colby of Vancouver, Washington, and Susie (Stan) Wilkes of Ft. Collins, Colorado; her nieces and nephews: Ryan Snyder, Roxanne Snyder, Tari Tanhoff, Tad Tanhoff, Jason Kloos, Josh Kloos, Lee Kloos, Jared Kloos, Kevin Nilson, Chris Schuelte, Keith Booker, Justin Wilkes, and Lacee Wilkes; and several great nieces and great nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur Nilson and Helen Nilson Johnson; and a brother, Jerry Nilson.
