Janice E. Beecher (May 12, 1938 ~ March 13, 2012) Janice Elaine Beecher was born May 12, 1938, near Canby, Minnesota, to parents Herbert and Jennie (Carlson) Beecher. Her family included four brothers: Leonard, Virgil, Floyd and Roger; and three sisters: Harriet, Doris and Lorraine; (brother Arnold passed away as an infant). She attended country school near Canby. The Beecher family lived in Oshkosh Township near Canby for many years and moved south of Clarkfield in 1960. Janice lived with her parents and helped her mother in the home. Janice was involved with Spring Creek Lutheran Church. She was always willing to help and clean in any way possible. She was faithful in helping in the kitchen for church events, bringing food and serving. She enjoyed the company of the Spring Creek ladies. Janice and brother Virgil moved to Granite Falls, Minnesota, about ten years ago. Janice was a patient at Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis and following her return to Granite Falls she became a resident of the Granite Manor. She passed away at the Manor on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the age of 73 years and 10 months. She is survived by her sister, Lorraine Appleseth, of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, nieces and nephews and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Herbert (1983); mother Jennie (1976); and her brothers Arnold (infant), Leonard, Virgil, Floyd and Roger; and sisters, Harriet and Doris.
