James H. Rolstad, 70, died January 18, 1992, at his home in Torrence, California. His funeral was held in Torrence, California, on January 22, 1992, and graveside services were conducted at Hazel Run Lutheran Cemetery on January 25, 1992, with Pastor James A. McCalmant officiating. Military rites were by the Anderson-Tongen Post #559 of Hazel Run, Minnesota. James Harding Rolstad was born June 7, 1921, in Hazel Run, Minnesota, to parents Harvey and Clara Rolstad. He was baptized and confirmed at the Hazel Run Lutheran Church. He graduated from Clarkfield High School. Shortly after graduating he served in the Army in World War II, being in the South Pacific much of the time. After the war he attended the University of Minnesota. In 1950 he moved to California where he remained until his death. He was in the automotive business. He is survived by his daughter Paula and her husband John Goehle; two grandchildren; four step-children, Danny, Steve, Kathy and Nadine, all from California; sisters, Hazel Johnson of Excelsior, Minnesota and Vye Hanson of California.
