Jacob Erickson was the son of Eberhardt A. and Maren (Knudsen) Erickson. He was born August 4, 1880, at Arkdale, Wisconsin, where he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. During his life, he served as a carpenter and farm laborer and in later years did gardening. He made his home with a sister, Mrs. Carrie Hagan of Clarkfield, Minnesota, from 1941 until her death in 1950, and from that time until his death, with a niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Cliffgard. Mr. Erickson passed away Friday, September 8, 1967, at the University Hospital, Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 87 years. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mathilda Burlingham of San Francisco, California; three nephews: Orin Erickson of Arkdale, Wisconsin, Bennie Erickson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Elmer Attelson of Denver, Colorado; five nieces: Mrs. Marion Odden of Hazel Run, Minnesota, Mrs. Alice Cliffgard of Clarkfield, Mrs. Esther Corbin, Mrs. Minnie Carlson of Arkdale, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Agnes Hedeen of Madison, Wisconsin; and a number of grand nieces and nephews.
