IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Irl G.
Baker
August 12, 1895 – August 18, 1925
Irl G. Baker was born August 12, 1895, at Alta, Iowa. At the age of seven he moved with his family to Slayton, Minnesota, where he lived to manhood. On August 18, 1925, he was united in marriage to Clara Quinn at Aberdeen, South Dakota. To this union seven children were born, two of whom preceded him in death. The Bakers moved to this community from Fulda in March 1941, settling on a farm eight miles west and one mile north of Clarkfield. The five surviving children have all attended the Clarkfield School, Dean and Dick both graduating from the high school. Failing health a few years ago, forced Mr. Baker to retire from farming. Since then he had been variously employed in Clarkfield. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Clara, two sons, Dean and Dick, and three daughters, Belle, Irla and Janet. Other survivors are his mother, Mrs. George G. Baker of Mankato, Minnesota; his twin sister, Ina (Mrs. Ed Rosequist), Ora (Mrs. Frank Jordan) of Mankato, Fae (Mrs. Harold Nelson) of Hoopston, Illinois; and four brothers: Leo of Glendale, Oregon, Roy of Great Falls, Montana, Max of Dawson, Minnesota, and Guy of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; besides nine nieces and nephews. Burial was made in the Slayton Cemetery, beside his two departed sons.
