Irene Helen (Nilson) Iverson was born September 25, 1909, on a farm near Boyd, Minnesota, to parents Nels M. and Alma (Erickson) Nilson. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Pastor Palm in Brook Park, Minnesota. On November 5, 1955, she was united in marriage to Oliver Iverson. Irene was employed at Swift's and was also a cook on the railroad for many years. She passed away July 21, 1979, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the age of 69 years. She is survived by her husband, Oliver; brothers and sisters: Merriam Nilson, Alice Nilson, Anton Nilson, Edith Clausen, Lloyd Nilson, Ethel Leenerts and Everett Nilson, all of Boyd, Minnesota, Mae Strand of Chaska, Minnesota, and Gena Fanter of Estherville, Iowa; and 18 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harold. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
