Iola Genevieve Anderson was born June 14, 1909, in Hazel Run Township, the daughter of Alfred O. and Sena (Lee) Anderson. She passed away on Saturday, November 29, 1969, at the Granite Falls Manor. She was baptized by Rev. John J. Salhus when a child and confirmed by A.H. Haugland. She attended school at Hazel Run. At the age of two years, she became ill with infantile paralysis which left her physically handicapped. She did, however, make herself useful at home. She spent her entire life in the Hazel Run community. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Sena Anderson; a brother, John Anderson of Hazel Run; a sister, Maysel (Mrs. Grant Homme) of rural Belview; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Walton Anderson of Granite Falls; six nephews and four nieces. Her father and brother, two nephews and a niece preceded her in death.
