Ingvald Martin Nodshilder was born at Clarkfield, October 8, 1899, the son of Hans and Herborg (Swenson) Nodshilder. He was baptized at Bergen Lutheran Church and was also confirmed at the same church on May 24, 1914, by Rev. John J. Salhus. He attended school at District 26 in rural Clarkfield. He spent much of his life farming in this community and was a veteran of World War II. Much of his last few years were spent in hospitals because of illness. He passed away at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington, the morning of September 19, 1964. Preceding him in death were his parents, Hans and Herborg Nodshilder, two sisters, Thea (Mrs. Hardy Berg) and Miss Hannah Nodshilder, and five brothers: Peter, Sampson, Helmer, Selmer and an infant brother, John. Surviving him are two sisters, Susie (Mrs. Oscar Ostensoe) of Montevideo and Odella (Mrs. Mont Anderson) of Montevideo, and one brother, John of Clarkfield. IN MEMORY OF INGVALD M.
