Ingeborg L. (Carlson) Olson was born on April 25, 1910, at Clarkfield, Minnesota, to parents John and Caroline (Christensen) Carlson. She was baptized at Spring Creek Lutheran Church of Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, and confirmed at the Norwegian Lutheran Church, Starbuck, Manitoba, Canada. Ingeborg married Clifford E. Olson at the Clarkfield Lutheran Parsonage, Clarkfield, Minnesota, on February 15, 1936. They were the parents of two sons: Cedric and Larry. Clifford and Ingeborg farmed their entire life. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, crafts, and camping with her family. She was a member of the Stony Run Homemakers, several farm organizations, Clarkfield Lutheran Church (ALCW Chairperson), Deacon of the Church Council, Sunday School Teacher, and proud Foster Parent. Ingeborg had been making her home at the home of her son Larry and his wife Carolyn. She passed away at the Granite Falls Municipal Hospital, Granite Falls, Minnesota, on Sunday evening, October 1, 2000, at the age of 90 years, 5 months, and 7 days. She is survived by her sons: Cedric and wife Marlys Olson of Elk River, Minnesota, and Larry and wife Carolyn Olson of Granite Falls, Minnesota. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister Frances Werner; brother Stanley (and Elsie) Carlson; and sister Viola Loose. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford in 1995, and two brothers Clayton and Howard. Blessed be her memory.
