Inga Oien was born on October 1, 1892, in Riverside Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, the daughter of Johan and Ingeborg (Nebben) Oien. She was baptized by Rev. C.O. Farseth and confirmed in the year of 1907 by Rev. J.B Reinertson in the same church. She worked many years in Minneapolis and St. Paul and in her later life, spent much of her time in caring for elderly people. She passed away at the University Hospital on February 12, 1965, at the age of 72 years. Preceding her in death were her father and mother; four brothers and three sisters. Surviving is one sister, Mabell (Mrs. Hendrick Lund) of Clarkfield; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Cora Oien of Montevideo and Mrs. Lizetta Oien of Boyd; two brothers-in-law, John Agre of California and Hendrick Lund of Clarkfield; and many nieces and nephews.
