IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Inez Marie
(Listul) Greseth
April 15, 1915 – June 30, 2007
Inez Marie Listul was born April 15, 1915, to Martin and Jennie (Halverson) Listul in Hazel Run, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Hazel Run Lutheran Church. She attended school in Hazel Run until she was needed to help at home on the family farm. As a young adult, she was employed as a Nanny for a family in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She maintained contact with this family for many years after returning to Hazel Run. Inez married Grant Greseth on December 2, 1939, at the Hazel Run Lutheran Church. They were the parents of four children: David, George, Harold and Jean. Inez and Grant bought their farm in 1941 and lived there until they moved to Granite Ridge Apartments in Granite Falls, Minnesota, in 1999. Grant preceded Inez in death on December 24, 2002. For the past three years, Inez was a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota. Inez was active in the Hazel Run Lutheran Church until the very last years of her life. She was a member of the WELCA and helped serve many meals, sewed quilts and the various activities that the church women sponsored. She also taught Sunday School in Hazel Run. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Inez enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making beautiful blankets for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and even her great great grandchildren. In Arizona she learned to weave/crotchet lawn chairs, a hobby that she especially enjoyed. Many of the chairs she created are still in use today. Inez and Grant loved spending winters in Arizona, which they did for 16 years. Inez passed away peacefully the morning of June 30, 2007, at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 92 years, 2 months, and 15 days. She is survived by her children: David (and Marlys) Greseth of Hazel Run, George (and Susan) Greseth of Jupiter, Florida, Harold (and Lynne) Greseth of Buffalo, Minnesota, and Jean (and Joel) Greseth Kirchner of Park Rapids, Minnesota. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Audrey Listul; sister-in-law Violet Moraine; cousin/brother-in-law, Charles Anderson; aunts and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant; her parents; her siblings Elvina, Irvin, Howard, Walter, Morris and Doris. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
