Inez Carolyn Carlson, 56, of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Saturday, February 4, 1984. Mr. Howard and Mrs. Inez Carlson died together as the result of exposure to a sudden unexpected severe snow storm with reported winds of seventy miles per hour. The funeral was held Wednesday, February 8, 1984, at the Community Bible Church of Montevideo, Minnesota, with Pastor James Ferguson and Pastor Raymond Wuerch officiating. Final Resting Place is the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens, Camp Release Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota. She was born September 5, 1928, in Gary, Minnesota, to Henry and Faye (Beightol) Appelseth. She lived in Clarkfield most of her life. On October 4, 1958, she married Howard Carlson and they lived on a farm near Clarkfield. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 1983. She is survived by children Judy Citrowske of Clarkfield, Steven Carlson of Montevideo and Kathy Dornbusch of New Ulm, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; her mother Faye Appleseth of Clarkfield; sisters Verna Stone of Stillwater, Minnesota, Elsie Carlson of Clarkfield and JoAnne Weathers of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and brother Ralph Appelseth of Enterprise, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her father and her first husband, Gordon Pemberton. At the funeral, the organist was Rhoda Nelson with solos by David Rupp and vocal duet by David Rupp and Pastor Ferguson.
